English Diary

When coming back home, some of the people were holding a party.
They said it was a farewell party for a women who lives on the 1st floor.
Some of them invited me to join it but I refused.
I always don't because I'm bad at alcohol and the atmosphere.
I thought I had to say something to her as a farewell greeting but I couldn't.
I hope I can say sometime else by the time she will leave.

I went to the sport club to play squash, because I could finish work at around 7 pm.
Unfortunately there were only 2 squash players. I played with both after that I stretched.
Actually, I recently learned my body is harder than normal, especially the hip.
I guess that to improve my dancing skill, I have to make the body more flexible.

I went to my parents' house to eat dinner and went to McDonald to study for the next TOEIC.
Usually I'm tired after squash and often give up studying, but today I was awesome.
What a productive day today was!

Recently Saturday is for ballroom dancing.

Today I took a off.

Since yesterday I've been feeling a sense of loss.
I guess it is because I've received the result of TOEIC.
I have to set up a next target. So I decided to take SKIP too.

By the way, I got a raise today.
I should be pleased but I'm feeling a pressure that I have to work harder this year.

It was sunny day.
I joined an English conversation meeting in the morning.
After that, I had appointment to join a futsal activity from 5pm to 7pm, so I had to kill time.
I arrived at the nearest station for the futsal court and stop by a cafe to read a book for a while.
When I was there, I got sleepy because last night I stayed late to watch a movie "Best Kid".

Today's futsal was designed for female players by the organizer.
For example, as a common rule, goal keepers are not allowed to use your hands to stop females' shoot.
I couldn't be exhausted since there were many female players.Now I'm thinking about joining another futsal activities.

In the morning I joined an English conversation circle. Whether I can enjoy it or not depends on the participants at the same table. I enjoyed it because the participants were already friends on Facebook. It means we already know their news through Facebook and had a lot of questions about them.

In the evening I joined the ballroom dance circle.
We paracticed two dances today. Samba and Slow.
Although we already learned about 8 or 9 dances, I think that Slow is the most difficult.
I guess where to put my feet is really important to move smoothly. To master it I have to practice a lot.

Every time after the lesson is done, we have some free time. Usually during the free time, intermediate people practice dances for competitions. Beginners like me start over the dances they learned the day.

I immediate ask one of intermediate woman to teach me how to dance the new 2 dances. She is always very kind and a good teacher. With her help, I think I got a knack for dancing them.
I'll try not forget it till next Saturday.

I've received an e-mail from Amazon saying they shipped kindle I'd ordered yesterday.
I'm looking forward to using it.
Usually I read English books at least one a month.
It surely takes longer than reading Japanese books.
What takes long while reading English books is looking up the words I can't understand immediately.
If using a kindle, you can know the meaning of difficult words without using a dictionary.
That's the point.

July 12nd 2011 (Sun.)
As every Sunday morning, I joined an English conversation circle and enjoyed talking in English.
After that, I studied for a while at a cafe near the venue.

From 4 pm to 6 pm, I joined "Kosaru".
"Kosaru" is one of futsal activities. It is common for futsal players. "Kosaru" is for those who don't belong to any team.
You can join it even alone and team up with other participants which often strangers for you, then enjoy futsal match with the team.
Usually at the beginning, they are very quiet even during play, it is because they try to figure out how the teammates play or what their playing styles are.
As time passes, they get to used to other teammates, get excited and become aggressive.
Although sometimes I see selfish players who often shoot without making a psss, it is basically fun and enough to keep the mustle which is needed for futsal.

Today there were some female players, they were not surprisingly good but seemed to be enjoying.

I decided to keep a diary from today on.To keep it I have to look up a lot of words. That will make me much better at writing in English. This page's design still sucks. If I keep writing for a while, I'll think about the design.

Well, I'll write from today(already it was yesterday).
On the morning I went to Shinjuku to join a meeting in which you enjoy English conversations.
I've joined it for more than 2 years, that's sometimes fun and sometimes boring.
Today that was not bad.
After that I moved to a cafe nearby and study Spanish for a while there, then went to a sports club to play squash.
That was a little bit hard. I was in good shape and I ran a lot to retrieve any shot.
Evening I joined a dance circle. I enjoyed but today was, as every Saturday, very tiring.
